In August 22, 2017, five solemnly professed nuns from the Carmelite Monastery in Guiguinto, Bulacan established a foundation in the Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan by invitation from Archbishop Socrates B. Villegas, D.D.
They were temporarily housed in an apartment in Dagupan City as their new home was being built. In this house they were able to experience a lot of challenges including the more than seven days of flooding in 2018. At the height of the flooding, the sisters had to transfer to the Archbishop’s house.
The founding sisters are Sr. Maria Theresita Jose Diaz, O.Carm., Sr. Maria Geraldine Hilario Capalad, O.Carm., Sr. Maria Carmeli Hilario, O.Carm., Sr. Maria Virginia M. Santos, O.Carm., and Sr. Maria Consuelo S. Julian, O.Carm.
Let us pray for our dear sisters, that they would continue to be a blessing to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Cabanatuan and its neighboring places.
May our dear Mother and Sister, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, continue to cover them with her love and protection.
May our Father, through the love and guidance of our Lord Jesus Christ in unity with the Holy Spirit, shower them with more spiritual blessings.
