The Order of Carmelites in the Philippines congratulates His Eminence Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, Jr., DD on his installation as the 33rd Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila.
Cardinal Advincula is close to the heart of the Order in the Philippines for his constant support for the Order ever since he was the Bishop of San Carlos.
He was the ordaining prelate for many of our priests and has appointed several of our brothers to positions that would allow us to fully live-out our charism and to promote the spirit of Carmel in the Diocese and even beyond the Diocese.
Even today, many of our brothers are engaged with the projects and programs of Cardinal Joe.
We hope and pray for our good Lord to give our dear Cardinal Joe the strength and courage to fulfill his mission in shepherding God’s flock in one of the country’s biggest and greenest pasture.

“Panginoong Hesukristo, Mabuting Pastol at Dakilang Pari, pinupuri at pinasasalamatan ka namin sa pagtawag mo kay Cardinal Jose Advincula upang maglingkod bilang aming arsobispo. Pamunuan nawa niya kami bilang mabuting pastol na kumakalinga sa kanyang kawan at lumilingap sa mga naliligaw na tupa. Siya nawa’y maging mapagmahal at nakikinig na ama, tapat na guro at katiwala ng iyong banal na misteryo.
Pagkalooban mo siya ng kalusugan, lakas, at karunungan. Patibayin mo ang ugnayan ng pagkakaisa sa aming arkidiyosesis upang mapaglingkuran ka namin bilang iisang katawan. Dalisayin mo kami at itaguyod sa pagmamalasakit sapagkat ang iyong pag-ibig sa amin ay hindi nagmamaliw. Itulot mo na ang lahat ng mga mananampalataya ay masigasig na tumugon sa iyong misyon. Ikaw na nabubuhay at naghahari kasama ng Ama at ng Espiritu Santo, Diyos magpasawalang hanggan. Amen.”
