Bro. Frans Kleine Koerkamp, a.O.Carm.
Feb 11, 1936 – Nov 20, 2020
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
On this day we remember Bro. Frans Kleine Koerkamp, aO.Carm. with these words from Prof. Antonio Villasor:
“Frans has lived as a Carmelite dedicated to Christian prophetic ministry. He was an internationalist in his vision and commitment and very down to earth in practice of transforming his life as a Filipino and became our very own.
He was a firebrand, an active social transformer as he lived with the Poor in Negros and Iligan. He developed his fierce analysis, strong solidarity and healed those injustices, by prophetic work of Liberation.
He embraced married life because of his love and continued immersion in commitment to the Filipino people.
He pioneered in projects for development and freedom to alleviate the lives of the Filipino people.
He exuded confidence (bright or sunny aura) by encouraging people to live their lives meaningfully. He had this sharp acumen, socially engineering mind that led us to the struggle of liberation.”
With gratitude, let us remember Bro. Frans in our prayers today.
