The Order of Carmelites in the Philippines will once again be holding a virtual concert in order to raise much need resources to support its mission and ministries in the Philippines and Papua New Guinea.
Entitled “Sa Ngalan ng Ama,” the concert is a tribute to Saint Joseph, to whom the Church has been consecrated to until the Feast of the Immaculate Conception this year (December 8). It is also a tribute to all fathers who, in this time of the pandemic, have become a symbol of strength, hope, and support for the family together with the mothers and the rest of the family’s breadwinners.
The concert will be held on June 19, 2021 at 8PM and will be aired live through its Facebook page: Philippine Carmelites (www.facebook.com/CarmelitesPhCom) and crossposted in its partner pages.
It will feature performances from Carmelite Friars from the different communities in the Philippines and Papua New Guinea, Carmelite Student Friars, Carmelite Novices, Monte Carmelo Band, Sagrada Familia Parish Choir, Carmel Youth-Escalante, La Familyeah, and Kuya Jess and Family.
